Nobi and Joanne Ackermann were the winners of our Hershey Bar Drawing to benefit the Potsdam Humane Society. Evans & White Ace collected donations for the Potsdam Humane Society during the months of February and March. Everyone who donated had a chance at winning the gigantic 5 lb. Hershey bar. Joanne and Nobi were delighted to be the winners and plan on sharing the super sized chocolate bar with their grandson who is attending college in town.

Makayla Sharlow presents Dave Howell with a check and cash totaling over $700 for the Supporting Aaron Howell Fund.

Evans & White collected donations from employees and customers who wanted to support Aaron Howell, a marine soldier who was seriously injured while serving in Afghanistan. Customers received a button with Aaron's picture on it when they contributed to the fund supporting his recovery.

Aaron is currently undergoing rehab at Walter Reed Hospital in MD. He is the son of Dave and Grace Howell. Dave is an employee of Evans & White Ace.

Evans & White Ace was just awarded the Potsdam Chamber of Commerce Pride in Potsdam award for September.

"They plant beautiful flowers above the sidewalk and in wheelbarrows outside their entrances. They are constantly sweeping the sidewalk and keeping it clean. During the winter they are out shoveling their storefront in the early hours of the morning to keep the sidewalk safe. They are always keeping their storefront clean, neat, freshly painted and well lit. They are also constantly changing their window displays and I also like the changing of their sign on the sidewalk to keep people informed of products they sell."

Cub Scouts from Pack 52 of Potsdam had a tour of Evans & White Ace in Potsdam and learned about the cycle of business, from unloading the merchandise from the Ace truck with a fork lift, selling the merchandise, and re-ordering the merchandise.
